Whether it is with friends or with your lover.. it is always nice to do something original in the Domcity. We’ve selected four not-to-standard date ideas for you to do in Utrecht.

Jeu de Boules

Price of 1 court is € 17,50 for 50 minutes (max. 6 people)
Location: Paardenveld 3, 3511 RG Utrecht

Jeu de Boules is not only for old French guys in Summer, but you can also do it in Utrecht! Underneath the Paardenveld parking lot a large ‘boule’ court arose, a perfect place to spice up your normal drinks and do something somewhat active. We had fun trying throwing balls and enjoyed a ‘plank de petanque’ after.

VR Room Utrecht

VR Laser game is € 19 p.p. or a room with different VR experiences:  € 69 ( € 34,5 p.p.)
Location: Overste Den Oudenlaan 9B, 3527 KW Utrecht

You won’t leave the room for a minute, but it feels like you’re somewhere else entirely in the VR Room Utrecht. Race each other in the 4D Racing experience or fight during an epic virtual reality laser game battle. A fun way to spend an afternoon!

Gamestate

Price: depends on the game!
Location: Mariaplaats 13, 3511 LJ Utrecht

We just really like to play games and Gamestate brings us back to our childhood where we used to go to arcade halls. At Gamestate you’ll be able to play air hockey, pinball, and Angry Birds. At the end of the evening, you can trade in the tickets you’ve won at all the games for a small toy. Fun, fun!

Rocking Rollerz

It will cost you € 3,50 to rent roller skates and € 6,50 to enter the Roller skate rink
Location: Hertogswetering 183, 3542 AK Utrecht (The Wall – Leidsche Rijn)

We haven’t gone that far from Utrecht lately, so we still have to check out Rocking Rollerz but from what we heard.. it is amazing. Take your date (or friend) to this disco skating place, a nice activity and a good way to know if your companion has got moves.

Dutchie Laura lived in Utrecht for 10 years. And the Domcity has developed ever since. More and more coffee bars have popped up and there are a lot of places to grab a sandwich on the go or stay for work. Best of all, Utrecht has a wide variety in of restaurants. Laura’s favorite? Anything with sushi, pasta, Indian, vegetarian, burgers, fish, meat, classic French… she’s not picky at all!
