Industrial chic yet extremely cosy. Mother Goose Hotel has hit the nail on the head with this great new inner-city hotel. Located between chic boutiques, fabulous cafes and bars and boasting an uninterrupted view of the Dom – you’ll feel right in the heart of Utrecht whether a business traveller during the week or a leisure guest over the weekend.

The concept comes to us from the clever heads behind the well rated, always-a-favourite, Court Hotel in Utrecht, their latest offering is somewhat more daring and plays right into the boutique hotel hand. I am in love and even though I live literally 200m around the corner, I can definitely see myself taking a city-break and escaping to this wonderland.

Upon entering Mother Goose, on their 2nd day open mind you, the very lovely Sophie greeted me and was thrilled to tour me around the new hotel. In total there are 23 rooms over 4 floors, each floor distinctively named and on-theme. White Goose, Grey Goose, Brown Goose and Black Goose (in order of floor 1 to 4) each offer slight variations on the decorative theme of the hotel, yet all seamlessly come together.

Dutchie Laura lived in Utrecht for 10 years. And the Domcity has developed ever since. More and more coffee bars have popped up and there are a lot of places to grab a sandwich on the go or stay for work. Best of all, Utrecht has a wide variety in of restaurants. Laura’s favorite? Anything with sushi, pasta, Indian, vegetarian, burgers, fish, meat, classic French… she’s not picky at all!
