On Boxing Day restaurant Kantien serves an ‘Old Dutch’ Christmas Menu a.k.a. gourmet! The Dutch sure love an excuse to gourmet. This light and spacious restaurant is close to park Oog in Al and they’ve successfully created a ‘living room’ feeling in the restaurant!

Celebrate Christmas at one of Maaike’s favorite spots in Utrecht: Stadsbrasserie de Utrechter. On the 25th and 26th of Decembre they’ll serve a delicious 4-course meal with matching wines. I took a quick look at their Christmas menu and it looks very promising: expect dishes from coquilles to pheasant and top it off with Pavlova. In for a Christmas brunch? On both Christmas days they have a brunch buffet for the whole family too. YUM!

Loetje
Price for a 3 course menu is roughly: € 35

Forget the turkey and go for a steak. Because Loetje is open on Christmas eve and both Christmas days. They offer their regular menu or fancy dishes like tuna Piri Piri, deer steak and a very yummy looking sticky toffee.

Fancy some Asian cuisine? Score some extra points with the family in law and take them to Miyaki and Jones. What you’ll get for dinner, that’s Santa’s secret but it will include a festive Aperitive and two of Miyagi’s mystery dishes.

Make your way down to the Oosterkade because Vegetarian restaurant Broei will keep you warm during Christmas. On the 24th and 26th you can indulge in a 4-course menu with wine, aperitive and coffee and tea.
