We enjoyed these last days of summer on the sunny terrace of Op Roose. This restaurant opened its doors two months ago and reaped the benefits of the nice weather this summer. You will find Op Roose in the upcoming neigborhood Kanaleneiland. When you cross the Prins Clausbrug, which combine the neighborhoods Papendorp and Kanaleneiland, you see the people at the wonderful terrace overlooking the water.

The restaurant is located in two houses which have been rebuild in their original state after a massive fire. The place is completely transformed into a modern restaurant with a beautiful interior where every detail counts. The restaurant stands out a bit next to the rest of the buildings in the neighborhood, which makes you feel like you’re in a different world.

We had an amazing 3-course dinner at their terrace. As starters we took the Sea Bass and the Diamond tenderloin. Two delicious light appetizers! For the main courses we chose the plaice fillet and chicken. All flavors matched very nicely and you could really taste that everything was carefully prepared. Of course we saved the best for the last: the dessert. We both took the Apple crumble with yogurt and salted caramel: highly recommended!
