Close to the station and the city centre, that’s where you will find Kloek. Big fan of chick(en)s? Pay Kloek a visit! The name derives from the sound the chickens makes but also means courageous or valiant. This chicken diner offers various chickens right of the skewer. With sauce! You can think of Kloeks BBQ, a chicken with Jack Daniels and maple syrup or the more fresh lemon roast with citrus, garlic and lemongrass.

Chicken, fries and apple sauce
We ate at Kloek with three people. Joost took Kloeks BBQ chicken just as Ruben (Laura’s little brother), Laura went for the Chefs chicken. With some fries, vegetable from the grill, apple sauce and beer it was enough for a nice meal with room for dessert. We shared a sweet platter for two.  The waiters all wear leather aprons and are very friendly.

Game on!
We love to play games. And that’s exactly what you can do when visiting Kloek. They have a nice stack to fill the afternoon with. Every tuesday your knowledge of geography, politics and science is tested. In ten rounds (including a music/audioround) teams battle each other for one first place. The quiz starts at 20:30 but make sure you get a good seat well before that.

For: Families, friends or on a date. Kloek is good for every occassion. There are two venues to go to, one is across the street from music centre Tivoli Vredenburg and the other one is on the Nachtegaalstraat.
Costs: We payed € 87,50 (including tips). And we were full afterwards! Joost and Ruben drank two beers each and Laura had two cokes.
