Well…with a belly full of delicious food, it’s with great pleasure I can rave about what an amazing time we had at Rollende Keukens this year!

Held at the ever-popular Westetrgasfabriek in Amsterdam, the vast spread of food and beverage trucks is sure to get your inner foodie excited. With everything from American BBQ to Asian influences and some great new takes on old favourites, it’s no wonder the food-truck festival attracts food-lovers from all over the country!

Tom and I headed over on the Saturday afternoon which was definitely a ‘quieter’ moment in the 5 day festival…but absolutely buzzing none-the-less! Personal favourites for the day included the Pulled Pork from Smokey Goodness, the KFC Sticky Asian Wings and some amazing Cajun Potatos from the Pieper Mob truck. Unfortunately I couldn’t muster up the patience to get in line for a fresh coconut – but, all the cool kids had one.

Looks like next year I’ll be lining up early…

More and more coffee bars have popped up and there are a lot of places to grab a sandwich on the go or stay for work. Best of all, Utrecht has a wide variety in of restaurants. Laura’s favorite? Anything with sushi, pasta, Indian, vegetarian, burgers, fish, meat, classic French… she’s not picky at all!
